IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 17, 2007– Nexiant, a leading provider of MRO inventory management solutions for the industrial market, today announced the appointment of Michael J. Hammons to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Hammons will assume leadership responsibilities for the company, including the advancement of its product portfolio and national expansion plans. He takes the reins from Anton Visser, who will transition to the role of Chief Marketing Officer.

Hammons brings nearly 20 years of senior leadership experience, specializing in finance, operations and inventory control management. He combines a strong technology background with an entrepreneurial track-record, and is experienced in building sales and marketing-focused companies. He was a driving force at each of the companies for which he has served and has been a leader behind many successful acquisitions and operational growth strategies.

Hammons joins Nexiant from ARGO Tracker Corporation, a provider of real-time asset tracking and cargo monitoring solutions, where he served as Chief Executive Officer overseeing all business operations. Under his leadership, he grew the company at an annual growth rate of 2,000 percent.

Previously, Hammons was Global Vice President, Operations for Cogent Communications Group, a Tier 1 facilities-based Internet services provider where he played a key role in helping take the company from start-up to one of the largest Internet service providers with a presence in 12 countries. Prior to Cogent, Hammons held senior management positions at BancaDigital based in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Ernst & Young Consulting and 3M.
